Usually when I have to get back for work. Most times I can hunt till 10 AM when it is a work day. I just take a few hours of personal time those mornings. I'm lucky, my boss is a rifle hunter and does the same thing all during rifle season. He understands this flexible schedule.

Usually around 10am early season. I try to sit longer come November but still only make it to 11 or 12 due to a bad back.

This time of year I like to sit til about 9 or 10. Then I climb down and still hunt to a few natural blinds I made. If the wheather is to warm and the deer just don't move much, I scout and look for fresh sign.

Is there no chance of seeing deer between 11 and 5?

it all depends on what I have going on that day, and what I am seeing as far as action in the woods. yesterday, another hunter spooked a spike right at me, and was banging around in the woods to my north...so I left. Bout 930.

I saw a doe at 9. The buck I shot last week looked to be in full rut mode. His neck was totally swollen.

I can usually make it until about 10:00 or 10:30. Just depends on the temps and what's going on around me.

As long as I can.... Just depends on what I see, what the trail cams show, and the time of year. This week things still look to be slow. Probably won't make it passed 11:00.

Only three things will get me down:

    1-Work/Schedule...simply can't keep hunting
2-Too hot...sweating to the point scent control and deer movement are non-existent
3-Too cold...I'm talking I'm shutting down due to the coldness (wet can feed this one, so can sickness)

Deer movement can and do erase reasons 2&3 sometimes :D

Some of you have way more patience than I do. I'm doing good if I can make it to 9. I haven't made it to 9 yet this year.LOL!

Depends on the time of year. Right now I am usually out by 11 and back in by 2. Starting the Last week of October I come out for an hour to warm up and feed.

C'mon Christine, just pee from the stand. Practice will make you a better shot, just like with the bow ;)

two weeks ago, I went in to swap SD cards at 10:15 Am and bumped a doe. So...I guess this year I'll sit till 11am when I hunt a morning.

Depends on the time of the year. I don't usually hunt mornings until late October, unless the conditions are right. I've hunted 1 morning this year and sat until 7:30AM. Had the big buck I was hunting pass on his way back to bed prior to shooting light and then at about 7:15 a 2.5 year old passed on his way to bed. I got down as soon as he was out of sight.

It's unlikely that you will ever catch a mature buck (4.5+) on his feet much after daylight early in the season.

Unless hunting bedding areas or his bed...rare but doable. :D
