When do bows go on sale?

I'm wanting to pick up a new compound, but when is the best time to buy? Before season, during, after?

They usually go on sale mid season and clearance in early feb

 

At my shop this past year they went on sale around March when all the 2013's had been released and in stock. Now if the models didn't change any, there was not a big drop in the price tag. If a model had been replaced, I noticed a much larger mark down on price. For example the Hoyt CRX 32 was marked down around $200 due to the introduction of the Vector 32 vs the Hoyt Rampage XT that was not replaced went from $599 down to $549.
