Just curious if any of you have tried or plan on trying fobs? Have not saw a post on them yet on this site. They seem to be very accurate and durable. Although to me I don't like the way they look and I would surely be staying with the traditional feathered arrow look. Much cooler imo. But you can really make a argument for how much stuff on a compound bow today has gotten away from traditional. So call me hypocritical. lol

There is a lot of things that work well, from everything I have read fobs work great, that I won't use because they don't fit my personal style and sense of aesthetics.

For one thing i hate the way that they look. Another would be if looks if you hit some thing with them in mid flight your pretty much done for. Also you could not shoot through screen on a blind.

I think I remember Germ shooting some back in the day...maybe he will chime in. I want to say I remeber a thread with Rob teasing him about breaking one.

If I didn't have a Full Capture rest I would use them. They seem to make a lot of sense because i have 3 arrows that need re-fletched because the fletch has been clipped off on one of the sides.

Personally I laugh at FOBs. I don't care if they work or not, I just don't like them.

I enjoy fletching arrows. I'm busting nocks now so how much more accurate can they be? I can't imagine shooting groups with them (not that they wont, wouldn't they just bust more).

Germ says it did affect his anchor and I'd imagine some clearance issues with some rests.

Same goes for TruboNocks. Just not interested as again, I enjoy fletching arrows, I can't imagine them actually improving my accuracy.

Mike, we shot for his FOBs at last years NE GTG. See pic below. Ultimately I think it was buckeye who busted it. The yellow nocks are mine, two high and one touching. :D[IMG]

Bruce and I seem to share a lot of the same thoughts on a variety of subjects, and this one's no different... :)

Thanks Rob...I knew someone busted it. Looks like you were .000000320203020 away from doing it yourself.

2 reasons stopping me from FOBing. I don't have a drop away rest and I don't like the idea of looking for 2 items after a pass through. But, to each their own.
