I currently have a Hoyt Alphamaxx 32 set up with a 70# draw with a 30" draw. I am currently shooting a 5 pin truglo but my pins are really cluttered. I'm looking at getting a sight to space the pins out just a little bit more. What sights do you guys (and gals) recommend? I was looking at the Spot Hogg Hunter or the Armortech HD. I'd like to keep the five pin sight and I don't care too much for the single pin sights. Thank you for your opinions!

I have a Black Gold Ascent. It's a 3 pin with their 4" dovetail Mount. I have the pins set for 20, 30 and then 40-80 with the third pin. I love the sight!

I know you said you dnt like the singles, but I have a MBG ascent ambush in a single and love it. Great quality. If I was in the market for a new multi pin head it would most likely be a set up like fitz has

Does that black gold have a "floating pin" like the G5 sights? I shortly glimpsed at those but I wasn't sure how good they worked. I honestly don't like to shoot at game over 30 yards. I'm accurate over 30 but none of my stands are set up for over a 25 yard shot.

All three pins move when you change the distance but you will use the last pin for the longer yardage. You use a tape kind of like on my sight and when you want to for fun you can shoot out say 80 yards if you wanted. The sight Fitz has will also allow you to put if away from your bow more opening up the pin gaps.

That looks like a nice sight. The dimming feature must come in handy. LOL, the dial of death bit makes me chuckle.

Just don't forget to reset your dial after taking a few long pokes. Some of us learn the hard way :busted:

Anyone who spends enough time in the woods learns the hard way. Last year I learned that my decoy buck intimidated some nice shooter bucks and made them run for the hills.

Haha yeah I had a buddy use a doe decoy and a little buck came up and started humping it lol. He said the buck knocked it over and just looked at it before walking away. But I'll have to take a closer look at that sight. Oly if you get a new rest let me know I want to try that apache. And next time we hang you'll have to help me set up my account so I don't look like a rookie any more haha

Hey Fitz, how is the knob that you turn to change distances? It looks like it could be a little cheap and break? Thanks again?

It's sturdy machined aluminum. I have no fears of it breaking.

HHA single pin site. With that bow weight you could leave at 30yd and you'd be mostly set. Just hold it a little low for 20yd and a little high for 40yd.

I picked up my spot hogg hunter 5 pin sight a few months ago and absolutely love it! The pins are bright, and tough, the whole sight is an absolute tank! Its a sight i know will last for yrs! I also just recently picked up a hogg father single pin sight, its nice as well. I just made the switch to spott hogg within the last yr and couldnt be happier, you wount be disappointed with that sight at all, my favourite sight ive ever owned. Id also maybe check out the hogg-it 5 pin sight if i was you, ive never personally owned one but shot with one lots they are great as well.

I had been shooting a black gold ascent sight for a couple years then CBE come out with the Tec Hybrid an I love this sight. I use the single pin but they offer it in a 3 an 5 pins option too but the black golds are awesome too

"It does break", or "If it does break"?

I know you said you don't like single pin, but my dad has an HHA optimizer and couldnt be happier. I almost like his better than my trophy ridge 5 pin. JK
