Of all the aspects of bowhunting......patience, persistance, stealth, accuracy.....on and on and on.......If you were forced to single out just 1 thing that you think that you do really well, one thing that you thinks helps you be successful more than any other attribute, what would it be? I would have to say patience. I can sit in a tree for hours upon hours. And for days on end. Putting in the time, so long as I have it, is just not a problem.
My knowledge of the properties that I hunt... I have spent my entire life in these woods, wether it be hunting, camping, riding four-wheelers, or catching crayfish and minnows in the creek, I spent so many days in these woods that I know them like the back of my hand. I know the areas where the deer will be without having to do any scouting. By having this knowledge, I can avoid being in the woods at the times I don't need to be, and I know just how far I can push the deer.
Keeping it together in the moment of truth...I have been calm as a cucumber up through the shot on ALL shots presented to me to date....I come unglued AFTER the arrow is released, and I mean I come UNGLUED. :d
Yep, I'm one of those guys too and it's my best quality. If I have food and drink, I'll do this every day I get the chance from 3rd week in Oct till after the gun season is over.
I can keep cool in tense situations. when im just about to shoot i can just narrow in on my target and block everything out and place my shot. but after that im a wreck hahaha
This question would only allow me to be arrogant.. if even for a moment.. which may lead to several misinterpretations of what I'm actually saying. (it always does.) So I'll just read what everyone else posts up. But I know where my strengths lay.
It is definately not lying in a field smelling like dirt, and cow piss. Chicks do not dig this. By the way, how's the Lacrosse coming along Duke?
I gave up.. I'm gonna try out tennis now.. chicks like tennis players. I just need to go out and buy a pair of white Adidas.. then you'll see.
Same here. From the first day on, I sit dark to dark every chance i get. I think last year i pulled 12 all day sits.
Mine is probably persistence. I have a question to ask of those who say they can sit in a treestand from dawn to dusk. How do you do it and are you married? Even if I were single I doubt I could sit in a stand from dawn to dusk more than once or twice during the entire season. On vacation or weekends I hunt morning and evening, but to sit all day......I am a wimp
