It's been something'd. Is that your deer? or is it something you grabbed off the www. to show the mount style? Maybe it's just the lighting. But it looks photoshopped to death. Not the deer itself, but it's surroundings.
LOL! It's my deer and it hasn't been photo shopped. Maybe the deer's coat is throwing you off. This is what the coat looks like when it transitions from a summer to winter coat. I just snapped another pic. Different lighting, different camera. Both pics were taken with iPhones. The first with a 4s, and this one with a 6. The 6 clearly has a better camera. Other then them being cropped there are no changes. Back on topic.... :p
Much better. Now look at that picture, and look at the edges around the antlers on the right side of the first picture (deers left antlers) of the first picture. Totally different. The edges of the first pictures antlers look totally cut and pasted. It looks like they had black edges all the way around them. Must be the lighting in the house. Just made it look really weird. I just figured somebody copy and pasted it into a room because they didn't feel like cleaning the room before they took the picture. Because that's exactly what I would do. LOL Not to mention he's the size of the friggin door. he's mounted next to. It looked like it was an amateur photoshop job. That's a helluva deer.
Heres the one I told my taxidermist I want to use on mine if its available in the right measurements. It's a Joe Coombs.
Stopped by the taxi yesterday to drop off some cash and snapped this pic. This is the form I'm using on this years buck.
