Paradise by the dashboard lights ~ (Sir) Meatloaf...

It may have been released in 1979, but was a hit with me and ALL during high school years (grad 85')...

My 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring, 318 auto, cherry bombs, sky blue w/ white top, no fuzzy dice, windows were fogged on every weekend night and yes it was with the opposite persuasion!

OMG are you serious??? 80's Fricking Ruled!! Feel good music when the world was not as messed up as it is now. I play all 80's on my ipod when I am on the lawn tractor. All the groups mentioned above are well worth noting. But I really enjoy listening to it all depending on my mood. From the classic rock bands mentioned to Bananarama! LOL

Long live the 80's. Can't help but start getting pumped up when Frankie goes to hollywood comes on the ipod. Hahaha

The 80s was a great decade for rock, though I couldn't help but notice that more than half of the bands that have been listed so far are actually 70s acts, and even some late 60s such as Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd. Foreigner released most of their bigger hits in the 80s, but actually began in the late 70s, as did Van Halen, AC-DC, and Tom Petty. Bands like KISS, Heart, and Boston are straight form the mid 70s.

I agree that allot if not most of the bands listed where mid-late 70's band. But I totally disagree the 80's Rocked!!! It Sucked!!! Worst era of music EVER well except todays crap! The 80's- Big Hair Makeup Wearing Sissy Boys that sound like they had their sack in a clamp. They sounded all the same and that was BAD! If they knew more then 3 cords it was amazing.Metallica Rocked but I cant think of to many that Came Out in the 80's that was any good.I thought that Real Rock was on its way back in the 90's(Sound Garden,Nirvana,Peril Jam,etc) but it faded back to Crap. I'll stick with 60's-70's and some 90's Rock.

The hair bands were extreme, but I thought they rocked out pretty good

Loved the southern rock and probably actually earlier than the 80's

But like reo speedwagon, journey, styx, foreinger quite a few prob late 70's early 80's
