Work gets discussed on here off and on, but not too much discussion as to what you define as your "dream" job. So, what's your dream job? How do you define it? What makes it a "dream" for you? Further, are you currently in your dream job? Why or why not? I think it's interesting to see just how different we are all wired. Some throw caution to the wind, and pursue their passions as a career with little regard as to what the future may or may not hold. Then there are those who may or not believe you can make a career out of a passion, and if you could, that passion would turn to just a "job," and as such, it's not worth the risk. Those in the latter position (often myself) seem to define the "dream" job as one that is secure, offers plenty of time off for you to enjoy your passions/hobbies, and provides a solid income to support family, hobbies, and interests. So, where do you fall?
I just want to own my own business. And hopefully that business is something I'm passionate about. Some buddies and I have an idea for a market/restaurant that I really hope comes to fruition.
I would like to own my own business in a hunting store and just being able to hunt for a living that would be my dream...im trying everyday to make that happen but I just cant hit the powerball lol Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2
I have this right now, and I'm quite content, but my dream would be to provide something of enjoyment, or a moment, or a new experience to people. That is what I want.
To dream and dream big, a professional bass fisherman has always been my dream. I was working on it a lot when I was younger. After high school, when the economy went down hill, the few little sponsorships I worked for went away also. I wasnt close to pro by any means, but that did take some of my momentum from me. Then real life took over and affording to fish became harder and harder. But its always on the mind. I plan on getting into some smaller tournaments again in the next few years and see how high I can build myself up. In a more realistic dream, I would like to get into working maybe on a fishing boat or something. The biggest issue, I live far from any of that. And, Im sure its hard to find a decent entree level job. I wish I jumped on it a few years ago when I was younger and didnt take on as many bills. But I do try and keep my eye out. Im willing to move and I can talk the girl into moving I think, so well see. I currently am a trucker, and I am not a huge fan of it personally. Would love to be on the water one day, doing almost anything that pays enough as long as I get to be on a boat.
Creating your own business and make that your passion. Making pizzas all day can be very boring but if your Pappas Johns its his passion. Life is what you make.
Retire and just hunt Professional Baseball At one point I would of said be on my own hunting TV show but the market is so saturated that I just don’t have any interest in getting into that field for any reason. Own a hunting/firearm/archery store. But I would have someone else do the managing. I would just pop in and hang out.
I've always pictured myself on a sprawling cattle ranch across the big sky of Montana. It wouldn't be easy work by any means but I would enjoy it.
Yea im starting to think the same about the market on hunting shows and a person doesn't stand a chance Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2
Thanks, its true. Whether you think your life is great or you think it sucks, you're right. This is America and people are fleeing their own countries right now and risking their lives just to reach our shores.
I have my dream job, would like to get on a big city within the next few years though (Columbus)... My job is a lifestyle. Some guys on here know it well (Don, Hank, Jay, My brothers...).
You could not pay me to be a stay at home dad with a 2 or 3 year old. I've seen my wife's job and I don't want it.
Living the dream here also :D I get paid to run trail cameras ! Well there are other things also but that's the fun part !
