Even though I have a long while until I every move/sell my current house, I'm always thinking about what my dream house would be like (hopefully I'll have it someday). Most likely it would be partially self-built (with contractor work for some things obviously). I think mine is an A-Frame style angled "U" mountain stone and log of course on some acerage.

Something along the lines of this with less height to the front, and...well, less glass (I'm not cleaning that, and I know my wife wouldn't either :p).

Or are you in your dream home already?:)

250 acre farm, 150 of it wooded, pond, stream, nice bedding area:). The structure is secondary. Old farmhouse, new modular, a large style cape cod, any of them would be nice. A man shed/pole barn is a must.

1 story brick home, with high ceilings that is pretty big...on the front entrance to 2 or 3 hundred acres. I do not want my house in the middle of my dream, whcih is actually the land. I make a decent living and already realize I will never have a decent amount of land...but my wife stays home with my daughter everyday so I guess dreams change...Luckily for me my best friend has over 1K acres:D of which several hundred is already paid for.I live vicariously through him.

90+ acres of food plots...nice. What are you planting?

Let me know if you find a place like this in our area that isn't $700K+:D

Sorry brother, love ya but you are the last person I am notifiying of a place like that.:p

As far as the planting goes, it would depend on the property.

I won't bore ya'll with redundant pictures but I'm in my dream home. (Log Home)

The only change I would make is having it sit on more land. The future may accommodate that though.

Your dream home is a url?:D It's ok, we'll blame it on the satellite internet;)

Rob, that's cool about the possibility of expanding the land. I'm like BM, I never tire of looking at the pictures of your house. Quite the nice setup.

Hold on a sec, let me go ask her what my dream house looks like:D

Seriously, if it's wam, has functioning applilances and a roof that don't leak. The rest doesn't really mean much to me except where its located....and right now a house in Colorado, Idaho or Montana would be a pretty good dream.

I'd like to have the same size 'Cape Cod' style home.....sitting on this lot. I wouldn't change the "where". I'd change the style house, for sure, though.

Location, location, location. I wouldn't change mine.

Good point. I'm kind of hoping that's what buyers think if/when I ever sell this place:D

MGH.....I'd say (based on the photos you've shared) you feel the same way I do.

Congrats on your purchase....and kudos for the improvements you've made.
