I use NAP Spitfire mechanicals with 405 grain arrow weight. I switched from fixed blade 3 years ago. I was feeling confident as I had 3 pass through kills, but last year lost a deer to a shot that didn't get enough penetration. I might have hit the shoulder so you can't blame the broadheads, but lost some confidence and have been looking into other setups.

I'm going with 125gr Swhackers this year. Shooting a total arrow weight of around 435-440 grains at about 65-68# (I just got it set where I want it and haven't measured the actual draw weight yet)

I think its gonna be a game time decision between the Dirtnap gear and rage hypo. Probably decide a week before season like last year haha

I prefer mechanical, Rage Hypodermic, but I think when it comes to reliability a fixed blade never lies. I have had some mechanicals fail.

Fixed. I am a big fan of QAD Exodus heads. I took two deer with the same head last year (with a blade change) and it is still in great shape, very tough heads.

I did pick up some Hypodermics but I have not decided if they will just be turkey heads or if I will use them on deer.

When I first started I used fixed blades but being the young bowhunter I was I didn't think to broadhead tune my bow, then I switched to a rage two blade and killed my first deer with it but wasn't happy with the oring design then switched to the shwacker but found those to be a pain to work with then I switched to the killzone after watching BHOD and I havnt looked back!

I've shot NAP Spitfire for the past 10 years but just bought a new Elite Synergy #70 with FMJ 340's and switched to NAP Killzones 100 gr. and I swear they fly no different than field points. Awesome broadheads!

Fixed blades were always a headache for me. I never had the patience to get them to fly right. I've been using mechanicals for over 15 years and haven't had any regrets.

Dead Ringer Super Freak for me this year. Shot Rage for about 10 years, never had a problem. Wanted to try something new this year and these Dead Ringer's fly great so I'm going to try them out.

I've been bow hunting for about six years I'm stuck on mechanical I know it's ban wagoning but I use the kill zone you get excellent penetration and very large cut of you get anywhere near the vital organs or arterys of a whitetail you can consider it dead I use to shoot blood runners also a very good broad head I just feel like I get steadier flight with the kill zone if you get into big I would suggest a fixed because it will pack more of a punch and as far as arrow weight I shoot 300 gold tip kt very strong arrow and have passed threw every deer I have hit
In reality there all good and will get the job done but just choose everything that you feel will get the job done

100 gr muzzy 3 blade. Wasp Jackhammer was the worst mechanical I ever tried on deer. I have seen dozens of deer lost to Rages shot by archers that have zero clue about kinetic energy. If you don't know the math, shoot fixed.
