If I want to do that, I usually play a CD or music from my local collection. Last.fm offers streaming radio, and a lot of charts... and hardly any on-demand tracks.

Listening to a lot of Shinedown. So far I haven't heard a song from them that I don't like. Good stuff !!

Lots of Really Off the beaten path metal, Country, REally alt indie stuff, the classics, I am all over the board. huge post rock, instrumental fan. love technical timing stuff, like mudvaye, animals as leaders, meshugga, tool. etc.

here is a fav band of mine, more palatable to most

If I'm gonna see live music.....I like two extremes:

    1. AC/DC type rock....or

    2. Bluegrass (amplification only dictated by venue)

I've seen a lot of live acts. Bluegrass musicians are the best in the world.

I'm pretty biased when it comes to music so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Chevelle is the 2nd worst rock band who is currently super popular, right behind Nickelback. They suck diddly uck.

NO ONE is right behind Nickleback.... They are in their own galaxy of suck, with no one else even close in their rearview mirror.

Greyest of Blue Skies was a great album. Suffocate was my favorite song but they never released it as a single.

And I think Scott's right, Nickelback is in their own class of suck. Right next to Justin Beiber.

Nah, what's the really crappy band that had a "hit" stripper song a few years back? Buckcherry or something? They are far worse than Nickelback.

I will fully admit that I jammed to some "Leader of Men" back in the day.

I like me some Chevelle, not a big fan of the new stuff though. I like Send the Pain Below, and The Red, etc...

I also listen to Mudvayne, old Avenged Sevenfold (Waking the Fallen, City of Evil, and some of the new Nightmare album), Disturbed, some Five Finger Death Punch, Serj Tankian/System of a Down, some Slipknot, and Tool. I like the harder stuff for some reason
