This morning I witnessed a doe get hit by a car as she ran across 4 lanes of interstate Hwy. in front of me at 7:00am. I also saw a fresh road killed doe with a hugh stomach, it wasn't there at 5:30am but was at 6:45. I saw another doe standing in a wheat field at the edge of the interstate wondering I guess should I go or not. What's with all this activity, are they about to drop their fawns and looking for places to do so or what? Any ideas?

Is it turkey season there? Possibly getting spooked by hunters in the woods?

What they said. This time of year it could be either.

My neighbor has already seen fawns this year. He thought they were kinda big fawns too and he's been doing this for a long time.

    You nailed it Mr. Mur.

Females often seek more secluded areas away from larger deer groups before they give birth. The idea is to throw off the predators.

This time of year is one of the highest in the country for deer-car collisions.. next to only the rut.

Been pretty decent, Tony. Same old, same old, ya know?

Just having a few beers, playing on here, and waiting for Dancing with the Stars to be over, so I can regain control of the TV and watch baseball.

Lots of eye candy on DWTS, so who am I to complain? The more beer I drink, the more okay I am with the whole situation.
