whats up with the back of this deers ear?

    Got this picture today when i pulled the card. I zoomed in to see if better, but i have no clue whats going on with the guys ears, some serious nasty looking something going on. I thought ticks, but they would have to be HUGE to stand out like that, and never seen them get that big.

    Any thoughts???

    Hard to tell from a pic but Im thinking many ticks with lumps from the nasty bites.

    I would never suggest off label use for a product....

    Did you know that if a cow had ticks and you put Ivermectin in the feed, the ticks would die?

    Yep, ticks.....that's why a lot of times they won't have hair on the back of their ears even late in the year.....just tore up from ticks.
