haha. we had a lot of fun with this pic when I posted it back in the summer when I posted it on here. still weird seeing a 2yr old jumping a 3yr old.
Must be a different community in your area than mine. What I’m saying is I work for the amish so if not for them I’d need to go job huntin. I’ll agree they’re after the almighty dollar but aren’t we all? Sorry to run this thread down a different bunny trail. I’ll shut my trap now lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
no big deal. yes very old order. just 40min away they are very different and i'll say more normal. they are very aggressive poachers in my area. in return taking much needed meat from people that need it as well. these guys are also getting very crafty using the PA mentor program to their advantage as well. kind of disturbing.
We have a few local Amish here also. I've bought and resold produce from them in years past back when I was growing 20+ acres of truck patch produce. Some stuff I could buy to sell off the truck along with my stuff and saved me growing quite so many different things. Until I started seeing a lot of stuff in their warehouse with produce stickers from out of state. I always disclosed what I grew and didn't, however the Amish never made it known they weren't growing everything they sold there. Basically they are acting like big produce wholesalers without actually doing much of the work as they make it seem. They also seem pretty darn hypocritical since their "belief" system doesn't allow them to own modern tech but they use it all the time. They're some of the biggest chemical customers around here. Yes, they employ a lot of people. Is that reward enough for me to overlook things I disagree with them on? I dunno, maybe. I stopped growing produce mostly because they ruined the market here for anyone else so they kind of cost me an income stream. However I was tired of produce anyway. Still, I have a lot of mixed feelings about them here. I'm just kind of meh about them. I have not found them to be particularly honest over the years as many like to think so I certainly don't see them as being up on some sort of admirable pedestal.
