Forgot to adjust my HHA two different times... backed up in yardage... My target was setting on top of a old lawn mower we have junked behind our building... I drilled it... twice. Not a big deal or I wouldn't use it as a prop... but still gives you the funny feeling.

I haven't shot anything that strange I guess, but I did hit my dads fence a few times with some bad pulls when I first starting. This is one of my favorite threads, its hilarious! :D

It wasn't me, but I saw my Dad miss a rock chuck once, and hit the rock it was sitting on. He was shooting an aluminum arrow and it split the first foot or so into 5 nice curls. You could stand the arrow on its end and it was almost perfectly vertical. It was the coolest fragged arrow I have ever seen.

The worst thing that I have shot with my bow would have to be when I first got my brand new Easton Axis FMJ arrows I was pretty excited to go out and shoot them. I used to have a habit of aiming high when pulling my bow back and bringing it down to the target. Well the release went off when I was about half way back and the arrow went up in the tree and just kinda rested ontop of the branches but not stuck in one. I check for a long time waiting for that arrow to come down only to run it over with a mower 3 months after I had shot it. That arrow had a very short life

Let's see, 3 decent sized holes in the sheetrock in the kitchen, 3 layers of aluminum siding behind my backstop, and then there was the hummingbird feeder. Fun times.

Been so cold, I set up a target in the house. It's only 8 yards but I can practice my form and shooting mechanics. I was tired and torqued my bow and threw a shot wide right, right into my weight bench. Shattered the arrow.

I have a 20 yard area in the basement at work. I had a pair of chest waders hanging to the right of my target. Drew back and release malfunctioned. Punched myself in the nose and put an arrow right through the legs of the waders.

we (brothers, dad and I) got our first compounds (we all shot recurves before this) all around the same time. having fun in the back yard. we had an old foam box target that worked well for the recurves. we decided we would all shoot at the same time. 3. 2. 1. FIRE, four arrows released at almost the same time, four arrows hit center of target, four arrows went through the target, four arrow got stuck in the bottom of mom's canoe. Mom was PISSED!!! we patched the holes and move the target infront of the shed.

Let's see. I have a hole in my canoe hull just a couple inches below the waterline. It was stored on saw horses just a hair too close to my target. :o

I also have a squirrel running around without a tail. Funny,,,, Tree rat with no tail trying to keep his balance at on the power line across the back yard.

me and my best friend, back when we were maybe 8 or 9, used to target shoot with his little red recurve in my backyard. had the target set up at about ten to fifteen yards. i dont know exactly how it happened, but my buddy shot about three feet high and three feet wide right of the target. it nailed a goldfinch off of my dads finch feeder, then pinned it to one of his wren hotels.( my dad is a bird watching enthusiast) worst part is that my dad happened to be watching from a window and thought it was intentional. ( we had got caught shooting birds with bb guns in the backyard just a few weeks prior). we both got whipped and my buddies dad got rid of the bow.
