I usually do 5 mph on all roads, except the country dirt, I may go 10 over on those. School zones I'm right at the limit, maybe even 5 under.

I read a study that stated those who consistently break the speed limit by 10 mph or greater are a direct link to increased global warming and carbon emissions into earths atmosphere haha shame on you

    This is me.
I think they have most of the speed limits set knowing that most everyone will go 5mph over.

For me its not about being in a hurry, it's just called driving normally. No jackrabbit starts, hard into turns or anything. If the roads is clear & easy driving but the speed limit is 25, that's just dumb. If I'm going down a hill just to have to go hard up a steep one, I'm not going to ride my brakes, I'll use momentum and save my brakes and gas.

Set my cruise to 7 over on freeway. I probably go 5 over in the city.

I go as fast as the car in front of me will allow.

Sometimes you gotta really hustle to catch up with that sucker!

I drive a lot faster over in Dallas than I do out on the open interstate. You get run over if you don't keep up. I love to drive fast on dirt roads, lots of years of off road (desert) racing and I still love to throw it into a turn (even when it is completely inappropriate) I really don't hardly speed at all in town, and I WILL NOT speed in a school zone.

This is true. Driving 3 hours up north down to school is probably the most boring drive ever. Nothing to look at so i go fast to get there fast.

I used to drive pretty slowly before I lived in Chicagoland. Like others have said, if you drive the speed limit up there you're in danger, but in my 6 months up there I never saw 1 state trooper or county cop going to and from work. After living up there I've kicked it up a bit, but I usually go the speed limit or maybe 5 over.

State troopers are like rats where I live and will ticket you for going 5+ over. It's frustrating.

Bingo. I do as well. I normally give myself plenty of time to get somewhere on time. So no need to be a speed demon !!!!!

I watch it really close in town and push it a little when conditions allow on the highway. Usually 5 to 7 over.

In town, no more than 5+. On the highway, I tend to go the flow of traffic which is usually 10+. Like stated earlier, theres a difference between being a showoff/ idiot or simply heavy on the pedal.

I always speed when possible. I usually average 5-15 over every where I go so move your slow a** into the right lane and let me pass.
