I've taken 2 shots that were over 20 yards with my recurve (longest shots I've ever taken with any bow). 1st one was a doe at 21 yards, got both lungs and heart. The 2nd time was this year at 22 yards shooting at a doe, I hit a branch. I had a 2 to 3 Inch opening. Another half Inch lower she too would've been double lunged. I was happy with the miss. lol!
My longest shot on a deer was 66yds with a bow, dropped the doe in her tracks. Ive smoked ground hogs at 85 yds with my bow aswell. with Rifle my current best is 460yds at night with a spot light on CROP DAMAGE permits. My scope isnt that great its only a 3x9 i could see the deer fine not looking through my scope, but once i got on her with my scope all i could see was the eyes. Aimed just a little bit to the right of her eyes as she was broad side and hit her in the neck, never moved a inch. 300 win mag for the win!
