Cheese heads or Polka Boy for wisconsin, Mud ducks for Minnesotan's, FIB's are usually used for people from Indiana, I thought you just called everybody from Illinois an A-hole?

In it's typical use it carries a negative connotation. To me a weekend warrior is one who doesn't have any desire or care or respect for the sport. They could care less about the wind, could care less how close to the property line they are (sometimes if at all), they could care less about practicing with their weapon and becoming proficient, they could care less about what shots they choose to take, they could care less about waiting for a better shot....they just simply don't care much other than being a "hunter".

Someone mentioned people that seem to need to wear their hunting clothes everywhere to "be the bad*** hunter"....I just shake my head....

I know guys far more dedicated to the sport than me that only hunt maybe 2 days here and 2 days there....they are not weekend warriors in my book.

It is all about the mindset and core of the hunter as Fitz said to me that earns people the "weekend warrior" title.
