Wasn't hunting persay, but we were out hanging trail cameras and treestands in early September. Turns out it was already abandoned but the cops sure had a field day with it. :D

Cool, an herb garden! I'd be willing to bet it was not as abandoned as you think it was.

I found a old 5 gallon milk can while turkey hunting a few years ago. The lid was rusted on and I could tell there was something in it. I packed that heavy bassturd 2 miles out of the woods and took it home. I used a mallet and knocked the lid off. There was an old cigar box inside (almost unrecognizeable) and it was full of old Indian arrowheads. About 30 of them in all shapes and sizes.

Twice while hunting I've found downed weather balloons with their sensors. Other then that just a whole lot of junk from the old logging days.

I know this is old but thought I'd revive it if anyone has some new additions.

We also found a cave. After telling the DNR we went in with a camera.

Oh and a pot plantation as well. It was in a forest preserve and there was a whole operation going on. Fresh too. I got outta there so fast haha. There were these five gallon buckets and plant sleeves with holders and a water thing and some other stuff specifically for pot. I'll post pics later.

I don't know if it's cool but I found a poachers arrow and chair about 3 years ago. Also I found my grandpa's beer bottle stash when he used to go to the woods.

not cool, but I found a dead body. yes human! the lady was missing for a while and was a big deal in my area. heck we even got a reward for it. I was in the fifth grade staying over at a buddys house and we were out playing in the woods when we found her. scary something takes place that close to home. I also found a tent buried under the leaves abandoned full of equipment. ran newspaper ad but never had anyone claim it.

While out scouting for deer I found a big bone. It looked like it could have come from the upper arm of a human. I thru it in my pack and one day we were having a cook out and talking about strange stuff so I got the bone and said deer leg or {I put it up to my arm} and said or human bone. My daughter flipped out! She sent a picture to a doctor friend and he said it looked like a human tibia. She bugged me for days until I took it to the State Police. They tested it and said it wasn't human. LOL

Not really a find, but I had two escape convicts in orange jump suits running by my stand, shortly followed by hundreds of law enforcement. I had a quartering away shot at about 40, but a sapling was in my way.
