I'm a new bow hunter and I am getting a ground blind. And I can't decide which one to get. I've narrowed it down I think to the primos double bull double wide or the ameristep bone collector man cave? I'm 6'3 so the man cave is appealing but the canvas is better right? What do y'all think?

I'd like to answer your question with a question, if you don't mind. Why are you looking into a ground blind specifically?

Since you're a new hunter, there are a few things to know about them.

    1. They're more difficult to hunt out of for a number of reasons.
    2. For larger framed guys, it can prove especially difficult.
    3. If you don't have private property to hunt on, they're even harder to hunt out of.

I'm not trying to talk you out of one, but want you to be able to make a well informed decision on the pros and cons of ground blinds. That being said, my sons hunt out of them, since I'm the one to shop for them, I'd tell you to get in one, with a chair, and make sure you've got a good viewing window. Being 6'3" that shouldn't be a problem, but at 6'3" you're not going to be standing up in any of them easily, so just plan on shooting while sitting.

No I haven't looked into that but I will. Thanks. But I've been rifle hunting a lot before but I got a bow about a year ago and haven't taken it hunting yet. Our land is 15 miles north of Albany and it's covered with mesquite trees and cacti and there's really no place for a tree stand and a tall bow stand doesn't have any cover. I'm hoping to be able to get a buck with my bow this year but all our stands are box blinds that you can't shoot a bow out of. I'll check into the big mike and rhino xp as well. Goodluck out there this season y'all.

Second the Double Bull... room for a hunting partner, room to draw, well made... there's a reason it's been on the market for years.

Check out the Guide Gear Five-Hub Ground Blind on the Sportman's Guide website. I acutally got an email from them today and it's on sale for $54.99, free shipping and a $10 gift card. My girlfriend got one for me last year for my birthday just in time for turkey season and I love it. Plenty of room to bow hunt out of with camera equipment or two people
