I'm not sure what to get my boyfriend for Christmas. He's pretty much got everything a bow hunter would ever need. I want to get him a bow press, but I have no idea what kind to get. I'm also confused about certain ones that only work on parallel limbs. He's got a Mathews LX. I'm not sure if the portable ones are a good idea or not...

Also, I'm up for any suggestions for any other ideas.

    Thanks!

Let's just say the best gifts are the ones you show in the bedroom.

But.. a bow press is pretty cool too.

Lol! There have been so many times I wish the forums had a like button. Sometimes I subconsciously search for it only to realize I'm not on Facebook. Pathetic, I know.

Bow presses are a great gift. I have the little portable one, (Bowmaster) it gets the job done. I've heard good things about the ratchet lock ones too.

A guy can never have too much camo. Predator is a good pattern.

Also if you know what arrows he shoots & that he has no plans to switch any time soon, another dozen is always nice.

There is a pretty slick saw sold here on the site. Hooyman in 5ft & 10 ft length. It's handy for hunting new places & cutting lanes.

First of all, I'm glad that everyone thinks this is a great gift idea!

Second, will the portable ones work with all kinds of bows? I don't want to buy anything that won't work.

Third, I used to work at VS.

Fourth, I'll keep the arrows in mind, but the only problem is the ones that he likes are $150...and for his birthday this year I got him a Gerber LMF II knife.

the bowmaster will work with all solid limb bows, including parallel limbs, there are adapters you need to buy it though for split limb bows like hoyts.

Ok. He's got a Mathews so it should work for that type. I'm glad you told me about this brand! I've been looking at Apple Archery products and they're a little pricey for me.
