Whats the best bow case for air travel?

    thanks, same here. last time I flew Southwest they didn't charge for my bow case which is a little oversize as well. smile nice to the lady and see if she'll cut you some slack...

    I use SKB but without the Velcro.
    I put a layer of my garments on the bottom then the bow.
    Then socks and other items to fill in the voids.
    Then top it off with my outer layers keeping it under 50 pounds.
    It has work great for me.
    On a out of state bow hunt you will need bow case full , a large suitcase and the biggest carry on allowed.

    I have the SKB hunter XL. I've never flown with it, but I have had it in the back of a truck bouncing around. My bow still shot dead on.

    I have the skb hunter also. I hunt islands in the Mississippi River around St Louis. A lot of barge traffic so it can be a very hairy and the boat rides can be rough as heck. That case has taken an absolute beating and my bow is always in perfect shape.
