Bowhunting turkey in the spring. I have never killed one but will continue to try on a mostly birdless military base.

Bowhunt whitetails on the same base. It can be a grind to make it happen.

Thanks for that offer buddy! :tu:

I was telling Buckeye today, I need to take vacation time away from work just to get out and hunt. If I take a vacation, I know I'll hunt.

If I stay around here, I'll end up working instead. :D

So, I might have to hit you up as Odin is far enough away to keep me hunting. We'll smack some Booners. :lmao:

I told Scott I'm coming to Ohio as well, can't work much there so I'll hunt instead. :deer:

Jimbo, if you get drawn for that combo in Montana, I want details! My "group" is eye-balling that one hard but my schedule with school isn't going to allow me to go far this year :bash: I am up to 3 mulie, and 2 elk preference points in CO, though :d

I'll be in camp with Greg, Matt, Frank, and others. It's going to be a FANTASTIC trip. ! I am SO looking forward to this hunt.

I'm still not discounting IL and I may spend some time with Germ, most likely filming in WI but with the economy, the Harley Davidson coming and all, it's going to be a little more low key this year.

    Buying a new bow:cool: (Newest bow is a 2002!)

Getting my first recurve deer....very hard.

Getting my first "bow" turkey. (Have about 10 with #5 shot)

Try to beat the big buck again, when the time comes!! (Always fun!)

O...and find new places to hunt. Gotta keep it fresh and unpressured.

Iowa for whitetails if I draw, Illinois if I don't.

That's about it for me this year.

Yep Greg, I certainly want to make the trip soon.

I know we have briefly talked about it in the past.....might need to lock something in this time!

Start off with trying to fill my turkey tags in about a month or so. Then antelope in aug/sep all warming up for my favorite - archery deer hunting...

I put in for a lot of hard to draw tags in various states too, but never really expect to draw. I would like to pick up an out of state deer hunt this year, just trying to decide where to go.
