What's in this deers head?????

I recently checked my cams and seen this deer I thought already had an antler growing. I noticed the lump on the side of the face and new something was going through his head. I cant tell if it is a branch or broken off tine from another buck? The blurred pictures are due too rain drops from a storm the night before.

 

I have no idea? Crazy..... Very strange

 

Looks to me like he got a head start on a lopsided rack due to some sort of head trauma.

That's what I thought but what is the bulge on the side of his face in line with the object?

 

I got these pics on another cam in March of what I believe now to be the same deer. In these pics it looks like a antler. The date and time are correct but the year was 2013 not 2011.

 

Could be from a fight or an abbess tooth or tumor?

 

Huh... he may have never dropped. With the injury on the opposite side, perhaps he'll keep the side he has and grow a new one on his left side? It'll be interesting to follow.

 

I will keep you posted on what I find out. I added 2 more cams on the property this week so I hope to get more pics soon.
