Can someone tell me what is going on with this buck. I've heard it's deer warts and they fall off when they get cold and the meat is safe to eat. I don't plan on shooting this buck just looking for input. 20170929_231424.jpg 20170929_231424.jpg

I don't know, but that one wins the ugliest buck contest, hands down! :tu:

I believe its warts. I have a young buck that has them worse than this buck. From what I've googled it doesn't harm the deer.

I'd leave my gear in the tree and run home as fast I can... crying the entire way.

You're correct. Deer warts I believe, and if in fact they are the meat is safe to eat... but he's still damn ugly. Nice rack for an older deer.

I dunno about eating that one... theoretically it's ok, but he's good place for infections and diseases to start.

Not on my hit list so I'm not worried about eating him.
