As good of a weekend for football this will be, I won't be in front of a tv. I'm planning to finally put the remaining cap blocks on my retaining wall tomorrow, go pull my card from my cam, and do a little drywall mudding.

I will be hunting all weekend, I dont catch many pro or college ball games unless I DVR em, then watch them at night. So, for me probably gonna be dvr after dark and a little Pendleton and & 7up sounds good to unwind. Hopefully celebrating a bbd.

    whoa a 6er! Be careful.

What's with all the goofy tasty girly beer crap? What ever happened to slugging a couple dozen PBR's or Old Mil, woofing down a bunch of wings and farting all day watching football? Geez. You people watching the US Open tennis this weekend or football?

    Thank you.

The trend in beer drinking is going the same route as music. The more obscure your brew/music taste, the more "hip" some feel.

These dark(er) brews have been around for a LONG time. If you'd ask this question to 50 hunters - 20yrs ago, I'm betting you'd have gotten a LOT different answers.

    This, too, shall pass.............

    :)

Goofy tasty girly beer crap? WTF? This beer has more hops, more alcohol, and 10x the flavor of PBR (which I enjoy).

Stone is far from an obscure brewery.

It’s pretty obvious (well at least to anyone who drinks craft beers) that you really have no idea what you are talking about if you are calling beers from Stone, “girlie beers”.
Like Hooker said a lot of these types of beers have far more, alcohol, hops & flavor than your run of the mill large production beers (and I drink some of them too)
It’s not about being cool, its about finding beer that tastes good. Anyone who dismisses craft beers without trying some is really missing out on a world of flavor & taste.
And to reiterate the point about higher alcohol, you can’t pound these types of beers, a 6er of these is going to put you well on your way, where as I threw down 6 bud lights at a party without so much as even pretending to get a buzz.
