I chose those yardages because im anal about accuracy and when I shoot 3d with pins, I set the pins on 5 yard increments. I did that on my hunting bow because I really liked it set that way and switching back and forth was confusing.

Pin gap wasn't an issue. I have shot speeds from 290 fps (3d) to 250 fps and never had an issue with it. My pins were .019 and that left space between the pins, especially if I moved the sight out a little. That increases pin gap.

It was really good for hunting. I have been known to lay the top 3 pins on a deer I wasn't sure of yardage on.

The gap could be an issue on the top pins. If that is the case, just increase it to 6 or 7 yards.

Todd, teach me on this one, you said moving the sight farther out increases pin gap ? Honestly as long as I have shot I didn't know that !!!

Increases the sight plane, therefore the pin gap will get larger.

I always laugh when I hear someone say they want a tighter pin gap. All they need to do is move the sight closer.:D

In season I’m set at 20 – 30 – 35 and my last 2 pins are all the way down opening up my field of view. 35 yards is about as far out as I’ll go for a whitetail. For off season practice I have those last two pins set at 50 and 60.

7 pin sight. .19 diameter pins then .10 diameter after 30 yards. The 6th pin is 70 yards, the 7th pin is 90 yards.

I shoot the Axcel Armortech HD 5 Pin sight with .010 pins. Have them set at 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60 yds. Really like this sight, so much that I am thinking of going to their 7 pin pro model. It uses the dove-tail mount, like the new Axcel Achieve CXL I have. Both are awesome sights! Good shooting!

20-30-40. My last sight went to 50 but I am never shooting that far, archery is about being close to me. So I went back to a 3 pin sight. I don't even like to shoot past 25 to be honest, but figured I'd have a 40 pin just in case I needed a follow up shot or something.

I have a three pin, top pin=10-28 without hold over. Middle pin I just checked is pretty good at 37yards

It can't get any closer in, the base is touching my top pin.

Bottom pin I have no clue. I do know its on at 70 with about two feet of hold over. (My uncle said I couldn't hit the center bail if our straw back stop, I had to prove him wrong)

I think I'm the only one using a fixed single pin. Sighted in at 22 yards, I set my stands up so most of my shots are less than 20.

Used to use a pendulum, put it my son's bow so he only has one pin and a longer sight radius to worry about while he learns. It stays fixed set at ten.

I thought about going back to one pin. If I do it will be a slider, I live to practice more than 30 yards.
