I just got a new sight and went from a single movable to a 3 pin and was curious to see what other people have their sights set at.

    Thanks

Mine (4pin) are currently set at 20-30-40-50 but am contemplating resetting them to 15-25-35-45.

I may just remove the fourth pin altogether. Still undecided on that.

    Hunting site is 20, 30, 40, 50. When I shot HC and MBR classes in 3D I would set them at 22, 27, 32, 37, and 42 if I was allowed 5 pins.

Last year I switched from the normal 20-30-40yd setup, to pins set at
1)10yds, (for those deer right under the tree, and out to 20yds or so),
    2) 25 yds, (for 20-30 yd shots),
3)35 yds, (for 30-40 yd shots) I have to aim a bit high for a 40yd shot with this pin.
Sounds confusing, but to me it's simpler set like this. I just have to remember 0-20yds top pin, 20-30yds middle pin, and 30-40yds bottom pin.

Currently 20-30-40-50-60. But I may tweak that bottom pin this summer and move it to 70 for practice. Once season comes in, I may consider going to 20-30-35-40-45, just to take some guess work out of the +30yd shot if I were to decide to take one.

Thanks for all the replies and I have to admit I'm a little surprised that so many have their first pin at 20 yards. I have had a lot of shots closer then that. I was thinking 15, 25, 35 I don't think I would take a shot more then 40 on a live animal.
For you 20 yards guys do you practice closer shots with that pin?

Yes. I use the 20 yd for 0-20.

Yes I practice up to 10 yards with my 20 pin. But I think I'm going the 15,25,35 route aswell. The doe that I harvested last season was at 14 and the doe I shot but lost was at 25. So I just have a feeling most of my encounters are gonna be in the middle yardage distances. So why not set them accordingly. Who knows after next season I may go back. Haha

I have 20-25-30-50. I just changed my 40 yard pin to 25 because my class for IBO only goes up to 30 yards so I decided to eliminate that guessing factor. And yes, I use my 20 yard pin from 0-20 yards.

    20, 30, 40, 50, and there is a fifth pin I never use.
