    I like knowing they are out there, but for me, the odds are just as good to run into a mystery buck.

    I like to have an idea what's in the area but seldom run cameras in the summer. I hunt public land and have had much better luck running cameras for the month after hunting season to see what made it. I'm kind of old school and rely on looking for sign to find mature bucks in my areas.

    I run cameras but have debated more each year against it. The more I get pictures of the big bucks the more selective I become while hunting and the more I find myself holding off, always waiting for something bigger. I know that we have some big bucks on the farm but sometimes I think "trophy" hunting takes the fun out of actual hunting.
