You have a prime spot on public land that you are hunting. You made a small food plot deer are consistently feeding on, and you see many bucks walking right in front of your ground blind daily.

I left my ground blind at my spot today, and between a morning hunt and a noon-dark hunt some jerk put up a hanging stand ten feet in front of my blind. He wasn't there when I returned but my blind was opened, and he left scent everywhere and the deer wouldn't come close. I expect this guy to show up in the morning when I go back there.

Are you allowed to leave tree stands on public property? You could remove his stand and your blind. Then hang your own tree stand nearby. Not much you can do if stands are allowed though.

They're allowed. Just pisses me off that the lazy SOB is spot poaching.

That's BS. I'm very lucky to have about 700 acres of family land to hunt. Because I couldn't deal with that kind of crap, I'd end up killing someone.

well I had a situation where I was on public land and went back to hunt an area I have been in all season and someone else followed me in and hunted 30 yds from me. I was so pissed. Nothing I can do. I approached him and he blew up on me. We argued and it got no where. some people will hunt where they want to hunt no matter what and theres nothing productive you can do about it besides talk about which days you plan on hunting that spot so you dont ruin each others hunt. At least he didnt take the blind so I am sure he is a reasonable guy. Try to talk to him

Another hunter and I once set up stands 30 yards apart before daylight on 250 acres. We were the only two hunting that day. It was too funny... neither of us knew the other was there until we got down. We became solid friends.

This guy clearly didn't just happen by me before sunset. He followed my trail in and hunts my spot. Unreal the nerve of some people.
