Apparently he talked to "Mark" tonight and confessed everything, talked about how bad of a friend he's been... yada yada yada.

Dan, I like your choice... there are birds everywhere!!!!

Will, can I still use the rock technique... just once? Even if he seems to care... :D

Yeah I'd have a "wtf"? talk with him too. That's pretty low to keep it hush hush and behind your back. I wouldn't get the landowner involved IMO. Not sure of your relationship with him/her, but from my experiences they really don't like being in the middle of any hunting drama. Everyone could get the boot.

Same thing happened with our "free" lease I've been on the last couple years. The guy that lets us hunt it with him started bringing more people out. I got jealous and didn't hunt it this year. It was mistake on my part. It was free, I should have just let it roll off my back and hunted it. I regret not hunting it this year. JMO

It is a crappy thing for your "friend" to do though

Better yet...treat him like a Thailand thief and chop off a hand! Seriously, I would let him know about it for sure and reiterate to not let it happen again. Its a tough one b/c you don't want to get in a war between friends where you could possibly lose a so called "friend" and possibly lose a place to hunt if the landowner gets wind of some turmoil.

Man, what I would "pay" to have great friends and a great piece of hunting land. I would not even know what to do with myself. The only things I would think of would be hunting and supporting my friends. I can't imagine doing that type of crap to my friends.

Dub, I'm glad he admitted his wrongs and hopefully will try to make ammends. That is a tough situation for you because you're all supposed to be friends, and you're dealing with a bunch of guys who are family. While Randy was being a total d-bag and you and Mark are best friends, a lot of times blood is thicker than water and even if you're in the right you're on the outside looking in when dealing with family. Hopefully now you can all move past it and conitnue enjoying hunting there with each other's company.

Now that Randy has admitted his wrongs you always have something to bust his balls about too.:D

The last thing I'd do is drag the land owner into it ala Jerry Springer. He might just decide that he wants better folks hunting his property and divest himself of all of you rather than just the problem one.

Absolutely, I have zero intention of bringing the land owner into it... bad idea IMO. We'll get it settled fairly quickly ;) I have no worries

Definitely keep the land owner out of the mix.He or she doesn't need the BS.A conversation with Randy about integrity and your word is in order.Either he wants to be your friend or he doesn't.Who wants to be around someone who is playing you?
If he isn't remorseful,I am liking Wil's idea.
