Wait...that's the cabin land? You probably did, but I'm a slacker. I'll go up with you this summer. Let me get moved into my house and get the downstairs finished, and I'll be free again :D
Anytime. I will be up there this weekend, planting. It's not hard to find. Call my cell if you feel like taking the Toy for a spin.
Owning my own hunting land is something Ive always wanted to have. But with the cost of land these days and with how many people want it....the chances are slim unless I win the lottery. My plans are to either get a lease or possibly go in on some land with a close buddy of mine. Granted it wont be just mine but we have the same views and I think it would work out great.
Yeah, land prices have skyrocketed around here, and my chances seem to be dwindling bit by bit, but I'm still holding out hope. I did just purchase my first home on a little over 2 acres with about 30-40 acres of woods behind it. I was planning to ask permission to hunt it, but I've quickly found out it's a playground for the owner's son's to ride on their quads (with no helmets). I REALLY need my own piece of ground :D
Sort of. We live on 2 acres and then have 47 a few lots over. It doesn't bump up against the road, so their is 3 lots in a row between it and the road and were the 4th lot in that row, so the corners are touching. If that makes any sense whatsoever :d
I can certainly see the logic behind this especially since it can often give you the chance to find multiple locations with various opportunities you might not otherwise have with one single piece. However, I'm looking for land for more than just hunting purposes. If that were the case (just hunting purposes), I could have bought a lot of pieces of ground just about 45 minutes north of here for cheap. However, I want a NICE piece of ground to live on. I enjoy living on land to use for other things besides hunting (walking, cutting my own wood, planting, taking the quad out every now and then, shooting, etc).
