If you have 1h15minutes to watch Randy Pausch's "Last Lecture" you will definitely leave inspired and ready to attack each day with a new enthusiasm.

Pausch, who died in July 2008, gave a lecture at Carnegie-Mellon following his diagnoses of terminal cancer. In his book, which was released later, he discusses how he did the lecture with his children in mind as they were too young to understand his message when he was dying.

It's just an incredible speech and story.

I'll tell them I would have lived at least 20 years longer, if it weren't for you damn kids.

Your Dad did many great things in his life, I always thought I would do great things in my lifetime and I was even told I would do great things by a friend. I knew I would make a difference in this world. Every time I look or think of you (my children) I know I did do something great in this world. Having you as my kids has enriched my life more than I could have possibly imagined. I never knew I could love someone so much as I love you my children. You have given me my greatest win in life, and in the win I am now ready to die with no regrets.
I love you both very much, Sport (my daughter) I knew from first day I saw you how much of a wonderful person you would become. I never thought in my wildest dreams I would have a daughter as beautiful, intelligent and good soul as you. You are a far better person than I have ever been. There is NOTHING you cannot do or accomplished is this world. You are a gifted young lady and I am so very proud to be your Father.
Buddy (my son) you remind me so much of my Grandfather. You have one of the greatest smiles and kind heart just like my Grandfather. Your big smile made my bad days great and my good days better. Your sense of humor and the way you look at life was wonderful to watch. I could not be prouder to call you my son; you have always made me proud to be your father. You have a zest for life I hope you always keep.

What I will say will depend on how old they are and how old I am.

That's what the speech is about! Pausch knew what he would want to tell his kids the even though he and they were both very young and so he did it with a "head fake" :)

You can see glimpses of his "Last Lecture" if you just google him and his last lecture.
