What happend to all the deer? Where did they go? Why did they go where they went?
I had been seeing a ton of deer over the last couple months, alot of bucks as far as that goes. Ive had alot of deer on my trail cam every day, now this week, I checked it and 1 lousy picture. I havent seen any in our clover fields, the corn fields dont seem to be getting hammered like they were even a week ago, they arent coming into the bean fields either....what is going on?? Over the last week, ive seen one deer on my way to work. On any other day its nothing for me to see 50-100 deer on my way into work.....what has changed??? Is it because the acorns are dropping. Are the deer breaking out of their goups already???? If someone can explain this it would be much appreciated.

I was out in the woods over the weekend. Acorns are dopping big time here.... I'm sure that has something to do with it. Add in every Tom, **** and Harry in the woods hanging stands and checking cameras....you are bound to see fewer deer in the daytime.

I would also say acorns. They are dropping here heavy and the deer are starting to hammer them. Also, some of the beans are starting to turn and the deer really shift away from them until they drop all the leaves and dry down. Same with the corn, once dried down more they will start to hit it again. Also, the hay fields get hit hardest after mowing when fresh growth is coming on.

I was told the beans become very bitter to them at this point, and the acorns are much tastier to them, find the oaks my friend, find the oaks:)

I agree with acorns, with all the foliage in the woods they're tough to spot!
