Something about the movie Candyman really freaked me out. I can't even remember much of it, but there was just something about that movie.
Poltergeist for me. Mostly because of how old I was when I saw it. And that little girl stuck in the wall freaked me out and gave me nightmares.
I've only seen a few horror movies. The only reason I've watched any at all is because the girlfriend has dragged me to them. I don't know if it's because i'm old enough that they don't bother me or what, but they don't freak me out. I'll jump if something startling happens but that's about it. Whatever Saw movie I watched was pretty unsettling though. I just kept thinking of how disturbed the people that made the movie were haha.
"Blacula" Saw it by myself when I was 8, nearly scared me to death. My dad tried sneaking up on me later that night to scare me and I broke his foot.
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! BLACULA mine was Hellraiser 2. i think it was scene in the hospital when the bad guy/girl walked past the screen really fast and the good guy/girl didnt see em'. excorsist 2 when that lady climbed up the wall was freaky too. i dont watch scary movies anymore but i love me some Rob Zombie movies!
I had a young man named Scott working for me that was scared so badly by that movie that I couldn't get him to work by himself at night for months. Of course it didn't help that people started leaving red clown noses and such laying around the shop when they found out how frightened he was.
what do yall think makes us so afriad of some, not afraid of others? is it the possibility of reality (this could actually happen) or just our imaginations getting the better of us. i'd bet that most of us locked in a room with some of the horror super stars we'd be the ones walking out....
I have a weird trait of laughing through horror movies...mostly because I'm the cynical guy pointing out how the killer was shot in the chest 3 times yet continues to walk w a machete and catch the person sprinting for their lives....or the girl who runs past the front door to go hide upstairs in the closet.....or how keys always get dropped to the floorboard when starting a car (I've still yet to ever do this in my life). That said (showing my age here) Darkness Falls came out when I was 12 and I happened to lose my last baby tooth the night I saw the movie. My mom capitalized on this and scared the bejeebus out of me that night. I wasn't scarred per say...but I made sure to have a pep in my step while walking in the dark for the next year or so.
And as far as hardest to watch, its hands down the more realistic ones about some sick twisted guy (especially when they rape and brutalize a girl in the movie...it literally makes me want to vomit)
There are 3 that come to mind for me...The first one I would have to agree with PCOutfitters with the Saw series and how messed up it is to come up with those torturing ideas. Then it was the Ring. The last movie for me was Strangers.
Any movie with Jane Fonda or Rosie O'Donnell. No movie really freaks me but if I had to pick one I would say The ring
i really dont think we as hunter scare too easily. we walk in/out in the dark. generally we are the badest creatures in the woods. by a few sits we can determine w/out looking whether its a squirrel, bird or something larger just by sound and WE are the ones doing the killin'/creating the "crime scene"!
