    or like this--> BEAR------|--------| :)

    Yeah, I had to drag a 300 lb bear quite a ways one time too. Myself and the guy helping me used a Glens deer handle which made it a little easier. You are right...they are much tougher to drag than deer!

    I have a number of drags exceeding a mile.I helped a buddy drag a buck in Idaho 3years ago that was likely about 3.5 miles or so.He shot it at noon and we did not get to the truck until 5:30.The last two miles was in a piece of crap deer cart.I tease my friend from time to time asking him how our buck is doing.I had some sweat invested in that deer.
    He would do the same for me and I hope he does this year!!

    Dude, dragging bears sucks. Now, I use an Otter Sled, even if its under 150 yards.

    I forget how many miles my bull elk was. I know I shot him at 9:00 am and it was after dark when we were done.

    2 hours up the mountain on ATV, 2 hour hike to spike then shot my bull another 1/2 hour up the mountain. THAT was a very long day!

    As far as whitetail, last year's Halloween buck would have been .5 mile or more but we made arrangements to take the ATV in, when I mount them, I do not like to drag them.

    Um.........lemme think here...........I guess that would b a doe I shot opening evening behind my mom's house......Probably a 300 yard drag, at most. I missed one on a managed hunt one time that was over 2 miles from the truck. Oddly, I'm rather glad I missed that ole slickhead.

    Yep, works pretty decent. Two guys pulling and one guy to make sure it doesn't roll going over logs....it slides along nicely.

    My mom's boss invited me to hunt a place I had never stepped foot on in college. I went in before dark and shot a cool 6 pointer (probably my best 6 point to date but I did not save the antlers). I shot him at 0730. I did not get out of the woods until sundown. I got lost on the property and with no gps or cell phone I was screwed. I drug that buck everywhere in attempts to get out but failed over and over. I bet I drug that buck several miles, and he was not a small buck body wise.

    A buddy of mine shot a monster of a buck last year that was at the absolute worst spot on the property on the lowest part of a steep grade, farthest from the cabin, maybe 3/4 of a mile. We even had to add rope to the winch on the four wheeler:D and then coming up my poor friend had to walk like 50 whole yards cause the road was rough with the cart behing the Suzuki.:D

    We drug a bunch before I got my quad years ago, I'll never hunt that man killer of a mountian without one again.:p

    My longest drag was many years ago about two miles, mostly on logging roads.

    Longest bear drag around 400 yars and that was horrible, way harder than the deer drag and I had friends to help with the bear.
