Still using my Canon GL1, nice little camera. I've had it for 8 years now. My only beef is that it's a bit loud in the cold still morning... that and it's not HD, but that wasn't available in '01.

Thank you. As you can see however, I edited my post. For some reason I listed it as a Sony when I know it's a Canon.

How long have you been using that camera...I used that camera this last spring turkey hunting and fell in love with it.

Several years now. I purchased it off of River Valley Game Calls (no longer exists) where I Pro Staffed as well as guided for turkey and bowhunting for a sister co, River Valley Outfitters which I was also co owner. We had this camera for a lot of years and I used it often prior to buying it for myself. The camera arm is new last year. I bought it off a guy/member on Huntingnet.com by the name of PassThru. Great guy, great product. Some of the accessories I bought off of B&H Photo out of New York.

This bow season I will be using the canon XL2, would you recommend using a camera arm?? I am a college student so I wont be able to pay anything to high, but would like to have one:D Do you know of anything reasonable that would do the job?

    Self videoing it's a must.

Even with a camera man your footage will be much, much steadier with a camera arm. For professional grade, yes I'd recommend a camera arm. That said, your using a heavier camera the the more you can spend on a quality arm, the better however, there are reasonable arms out there that may do the job for now.

    Also, check out BHC Shopping:
