I have a vac sealer because I tend to buy meat in bulk to save money. Currently have a Food Saver, but a cheaper model. My parents have a slightly nicer model of Food Saver as well. Both dont seem to hold very long. About 25-35% of the time air finds its way in the bags somehow. Was wondering what everyone else uses and likes. Also, what brand of bags do you use for it?

Rob who used to frequent the forums had a huge commercial model. Buy once cry once I suppose. That thing was amazing. Of course living in Alaska with a saltwater fishing boat and moose hunting you have a need to process big quantities so it may not fit others needs. Ill go with a commercial model if/when I purchase one because of the reasons you listed. Foodsaver bags often allow air in somehow and the machine itself is lucky to make it through a year and 4-6 animals before going kaput

Yes I was thinking of looking into commercial. Any idea on brand/size/model? Just curious. Thanks!
