Alright, well I'm kind of stumped on what I can / should put on my truck with my budget. I have $1200 to put into it. Have any ideas? It's already got good tires, a bed liner, a fresh rebuilt 454(still under warranty) and a new transmission, a good aftermarket head unit and speakers. So it doesn't need that stuff. I also don't want a lift kit, so that's out too. I was thinking maybe a used toolbox, and making a front bumper or saving a little more and buying a ranch hand. It's a 98 2500 if that helps at all. Thanks for any input!

Is that a spray-in bed liner? If not I'd toss that plastic junk and get a spray-in liner. I got Line-X in my truck bed and LOVE it.

This is what I was leaning towards. I have a welder, torch, and grinder, I just need to find a set of blueprints.

I wouldn't recommend 5% in the back, you can't see a thing at night. I have 20% on the sides and 5% on the back of mine

I would add the $1200 to my retirement account. You will enjoy that a lot more some day when the truck is dead and gone.

I know what I want the front of the front bumper to look like, I'm just confused and don't know what the backside of the front bumper wwhere it meets the truck should look like.

If your boxin it out just weld 2 brackets on the back of the new bumper an line em up with where the old bumper was attached to the frame. Do it to the other side. Make holes on the brackets to run a grade 8 bolt or two through an then tighten it down. Make sure to add a washer between the Frame an the bolt an nut. Then weld the sunuvabit straight to the frame around the bracket. Done deal.
