I am 100% confident that it has German Shepherd in it, and might even be all German Shepherd. Here is my dog as a pup.
that is a cute pup, but Roscoe has a smoother coat and is much smaller/thinner I can see some shepherd and some hound, maybe beagle?
Could have Chow if he's got a spot of black on his tongue. He's certainly cute. I do believe you can get a dna kit at petsmart or other pet supply store if you really want to know. I don't know how accurate they are but my friend did one on her dog. I forget her results as it was a while ago. She had a pit/mix. I remember crating my pups... Oh so much fun with the Rottweiler! NOT... lol
Looking at his ears I don't think his has any hound in him. Could just be a mix of some sort or could be a cur...this is a pic of my leopard cur. Check and see if his feet are webbed, if so he is more than likely a cur.
Curs are native to north America and are very popular in the south, witch obviously means, they are by far superior to any dog from the north or over seas. Google "Catahoula leopard dog", "leopard cur", or"black mouth cur".....
Nothing better than hunting over a smart mountain cur. Go kill 10-15 squirrels in the afternoon take a break and tree two Teddy's once the sun goes down. Extremely versatile hunting dogs.
