We've got an 2004 660 grizzly. That thing is tough, reliable, and fast. We bought it with 2800 miles in 2014,we've put about 3000 miles of hard farm use on it, hauling calves, getting cows etc.Edit:forgot to mention, during sap season we put 2 35 gallon totes on it and it still goes fine.

We started using Yamaha around 02'. Have not really had much trouble with them. 300's to 700's and Rhino's. All good reliable machines. If you just want to tool around and pull deer get a 400's that's usually where they start with the independent rear suspension. If you wanna work plots and plow snow go 600 plus or side by side. Kodiaks are the cheap versions of Grizzlies. Good machines.
Hondas are good. I've used ranchers and form and for work. I just never liked the way they sat.

Stay away from Polaris. I've had two of them and had transmission issues with both. Not a hard rider just routine work around the property. Never pulling anything. I will never buy another one.

I like the polaris rangers better than the atv's but we've also recently had some pretty big issues with one of those and it's a 14' with about 300 hours on it. If I ever get another UTV, it'll probably be one of the Kawasaki Mule pro fxt with a trans bed.

I prefer Polaris. If you can wait until the first of the year, you can find some amazing deals on a Four wheeler. People be getting rid of them like crazy.

My good friend has been a atv mechanic for 15 years and I went to his shop to get one. He advised to stay away from Polaris. Yamaha or Suzuki are what he recommended. I ended up getting the Kawasaki Mule. He said he has never had one come in for warranty work. They just keep going. Down side is the top speed is 25 mph. I don't trail ride. Just yard work, ice fish, and will plow the drive with it.

At least some of the newer models have been revamped and now have a top speed of about 45mph. They are basically a step above the Polaris Ranger now in features and performance.

we have a Polaris Ranger UTV. thing is a tank. our four wheelers are a 98 Honda fourtrax 300.(small bike nice to get into thicker timber) and a Honda Foreman 500. I think it's like trucks though. Everyone is going to buy one and either like it if no problems or hate it if it happens to be made on a Friday.

I've got a 1998 Honda four trax, I don't use it a whole lot but just can't bring my self to sell it. Never had any problems with it.

Right now I'm driving a Honda Foreman 500 Electronic shift and after 3000 miles the only issues that I've had were a battery and a starter..... $93.58. Honda aren't the smoothest riding, nor do they have the best load capacity or shortest turning radius but from a lot of experience with ATV's, a Honda always seems to keep on running.
My next rig is going to be a UTV and I've been playing with a Mahindra and a Honda.
My son is still running a 2013 Polaris Ranger and it's OK but I doubt that he'll buy another.

Drive a bunch and if you don't tinker, which dealer is the best in your area should influence your decision.

We have a 2005 Foreman on the farm that has almost 9000 miles on it and only thing we've done that needed to be fixed was change oil and battery. Let's just say it's get used ha. Next one we buy will also be a Honda.

I saw those Mahindras at a show. You can get an 8' bed they said. Looked stout.

Ha yea got it brand new and been joking for awhile gonna keep it until it hits 10k, which in all reality would still be few years away. But it's definitely been a good machine. Tranny is starting to slip every once in awhile if pulling a hill but for most part just standard maintenance.

I currently have a 2002 Polaris I bought brand new and have literally beat the **** out of it. There's no hour or odometer on it so no telling the amount of either. It's used on the farm. I've only had a couple minor issues, and if it quit tomorrow I couldn't complain. However, not sure what I'd buy if I was looking for a replacement.

I have a 2006 660 grizzly. I really only use it for work around the house, food plots, checking cameras, and running tree stands in and out of the timber.

Overall I'm very happy with it, it has plenty of power for all of the things that I do plus it's still nimble enough to maneuver in the timber. If it's over 80° and I'm doing really hard work at low speed for very extended periods of time, it will occasionally overheat. I've only had this happen while discing at low speeds for extended periods of time in the blazing hot summer though.

I bought mine used three years ago with 240 miles on it, it only has 550 now. I hope to not buy another one for a very very long time.
