Looking to buy a reasonably priced camcorder for various filming. I want something that is user friendly and video can be easily dumped to computer and burned to DVD.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I have a Sony Handycam that uses the Mini-Dvd's and I can not find any discs that record more than 1 hour total.

If I could find 2 hour dvds for it, I would just use it probably. Know where I can find some?

    Thanks

I'd look at something like a Canon Vixia HF S20. It has 32 GB of internal memory, or uses 2 SD cards so you don't have to worry about tapes, or finding proprietary media (mini DVDs). Nice big LCD screen, decent zoom, and a lot of bang for your buck. And it's HD too.

As for burning to DVD, that's up to the software on your computer. Windows 7 comes with a pretty nice DVD authoring/burning software that seems to work really well. I've used it a few times with great results so far.
