I just managed to get access to about 30 private property acres this past week. I had a quick chance to check it out and it has some sign of deer and the owner assures me he sees good bucks all the time. Most of the property I checked out already was muddy so lots of the prints were washed out and it was hard to really get a good idea of where they are coming from and heading to. I want to get out this weekend and get a trail camera set up so I can atleast get an idea of the quality of deer but with no real idea where to put it I might be just wasting my time. I am thinking that I want to pick something up to attract them to the area near the camera atleast for a few photo's. Any suggestion on an inexpensive solution to this? Either a salt block, or C'mere deer or something simular?

    What is everyones recommendation?

If you want photo ops fast, nothing beats a pile of apples IMO.

Some bad weather yesterday kept me from getting out and getting the trail cameras setup. Hopefully I can get it done this week before going to Louisville but not looking good at this point. Looks like it will most likely be next week.
