I am pretty new to archery. I have been shooting for a couple months, a couple of times a week. I have a used Martin Exile that I like well enough. So far I have been shooting with the components (rest, sight, quiver) that came with the RTH package. I do not have stabilizer on it. I have not wanted to spend too much money up to this point but I think it's time to make some upgrades. My ultimate goal is to bowhunt and I will likely have this bow for the next couple of years.

What would you upgrade first? What brand/model would you look at?

    Thanks for the input!

My personal choice would be to upgrade the sight first I believe. Then I would look into the rest. After those two things it just becomes a matter of personal preference then it does functionality in my opinion.

Some good rests imo are: qad , trophy ridge revolution, and whisker biscuit. (plenty of other good ones, just the ones I have used)

sights: hha, mbg, spott hog, truglo (full wrap). (ditto as above, all I have used)

Don't think you need the top of the line stuff. I normally buy mid ranged price stuff and it works great.

The first thing I would upgrade would be the accessory you like the least. It really doesn't matter what order you go as long as you're confident in your setup.

Can you by chance post a picture of your setup? I think by seeing it some of us can give a better opinion.

The rest is the most important accessory on your bow.

Get a stabilizer first. A well balanced bow will shoot much better for you. Plus, a good stablizer will also absorb some of the shock. I would go with rest second, then sight. They don't have to be the "latest and greatest", new thing out there.. get what you like. My buddy gave me a deal on a high end sight and I hated it. I took it back off and put my mid level sight back on after a few days. For the rest, get a decent names rest like QAD, Trophy Ridge, ect.

A solid arrow rest and a good sight are the first things I got for my bow. Take your time and read up on everything related to your bow that you can. As long as your confident in your equipment that's all that matters.

This is my current set up. I have been shooting without a quiver on the bow and I am still undecided about whether or not I will hunt with one.

I'd go with a rest, sight, stabilizer in that order. Each are very important but IMO a good quality easy to tune rest is the most important. I got a qad hunter to start and I wish I had done more research, now I'm getting a trophy taker smackdown pro. After that get a sight that fits your kind of shooting, then a stab that compliments that
