I'm new here but have been an archery shooter and hunter for over 27years.
I recently had to have my right shoulder re-built after a combat injury.
The doctor is unsure what this will do to my hunting/shooting.

I was shooting a Jennings G2 XL. Anyone have any idea where I could turn to find something which would not tear things up again.
I have been offered all sorts of advice, "shorten the draw length", "reduce the draw weight", get a crossbow".

Anyone here have a genuine idea??

I had my right one rebuilt back in 05, Or should i say repaired. I had a very large rip in it and was out of comission for three months. I was timid about drawing a bow but eased into it shooting at 53 lbs. Im back to 70 lbs now and my shoulder is 100% good except for the scar  Physical therapy is your friend here ;) by all means dont skip any of it. Just ease into it and give it time....ps::: now my left one has a very slight tear in it but its livable as long as i dont do anything stupid :d
