So here is the deal. I have decided to get another bow for 3D shooting and as a second hunting bow. Currently shooting a Katera that I love but it needs a friend since my backup is being used by a friend in need.
Here is the short list, if anyone has shot or own them please sell me!! I have shot all on the list and haven't decided yet, I like them all and it might come down to the best bang for the buck.

    1. Hoyt Alphamax 35
    2. Hoyt Maxxis 35
    3. Bowtech Destroyer 340
    4. Elite Judge

From that list I would get the Alphamax 35 and not even look at the others. On a personal note, I have been lusting after that bow for some time now. Eventually.

I am having a hard time finding one locally. My favorite shop only has a 50-60# and I am looking for a 60-70#:(

Call around. It would be worth the drive. Perhaps you can call Hoyt and get one sent to your local shop.

From that list, I would get the BowTech Destroyer 340 and not even look at the others...

    ;)

Just kidding. Seriously, if you've got it narrowed down to that few choices, I'd think it would be worth your while to drive around and shoot them until one outshined the others.

I wish I could shoot them all side by side but it isn't in the cards. I shot Bucko's Destroyer once and I was impressed. The nearest Bowtech dealer is an hour away with traffic and that makes it hard to go with a Bowtech.

    Two thoughts.........

First, if your seriously thinking about a 3D bow, that can also be used as a hunting bow.......I'd be thinking about something longer ATA and with significantly less reflex to the riser than anything on that list. A 36-37"ish bow is still going to be great in the woods, I intend to use my Sentinel as backup this year.

I'd also be considering a 60lb bow. I'll never shoot a 70lb 3D or target oriented bow again. I wish I would have learned this years before, my rotator cuffs are in rough shape now unfortunately and the poundage does nothing for 3D. You simply shoot a lighter arrow and end up with the same speed.

With that said, the Sentinel FLX center pivot riser acts and points more like a deflex style riser, is a bit longer, and still has great speed. It's honestly the best 3D bow I've shot.

I'll echo RJ's thoughts. I loved my Sentinel, just couldn't get it long enough for me. MGH is loving it now. Great bow all the way around.

Just got home with a new Alphamax 35. Got a killer deal that I couldn't pass up and the Elite dealer was out of Judge's.

I would be on the fence with the Maxxis and the Destroyer. I currently shoot a Katera XL and I love it. It I were going to buy a new bow it would definately be one of those two. I know it may be aggravating to get to those proshops but you really want the bow that fits you. IMO, I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices.

Per man law here are a few pics. Couldn't find my regular shooter so I had to use my Cell Phone to take the pics.
