I see that alot of people on here use Predator, so I figure this is a good place to ask this.

I was looking at some of there stuff today and the local dealer and all they had there were the pants that are almost a denim material, I think their cotton twill? Anyways, this will not work for me. What material would you guys reccomend? I see the more popular ones are the polyester pants or the bucksuede. Pro's and cons to both? I'll be using them mainly for early season archery hunting, and plan on buying there fleece for late season treestand stuff.

Also, which of their jackets do you guys like? I see they have a few options. Thanks for any input!

I think I own about every Predator piece out there, in a myriad of fabrics... one of my least favorite is bucksuede. I rarely wear it unless it's on a scouting trip or a stand-hanging session... more for casual wear than for hardcore hunting.

The cotton stuff is very nice, though the sleeves tend to run a bit short (I'm a 16" neck, 34" sleeve, and I buy XL shirts and I need the sleeves to be another inch long from Predator).

The ABSOLUTE best place and material to purchase Predator in is wolfskin from Gray Wolf Woolens. You'll pay a premium for the items, but the material, fit and service is second to none. Plus, it'll last a lifetime.

I just placed another order for two more wolfskin outfits in Fall Gray last month for my upcoming elk trip in September...

Thanks for the quick response! So, is the cotton twill not like denim? main thing im concerned about is rain, I wan't something that will be somewhat comfortable if I get soaked to the bone while chasing elk.

We live 50 miles apart.. we get the same weather.. I wear Predator and have three different fabrics, hands down for this country in the rain, the Predator Warp Knit waterproof works the best! I was out shed hunting in it after work today, We got poured on all day. Not a lick wet after crawling through the brush and rain for 3 hours. :)

I have the lightweight dry fit material for early season. I have the Fleece vest and pants for non rainy days but colder weather, and the Warp Knit for the wet days we so are accustom too in Northern Idaho. My early season stuff is in green deception, the rest of my stuff is all Brown Deception. I absolutely love it all.
