I always figured to eat what smells good to a deer such as apples granola dried cranberries etc...
Although i always would like to have some fresh coffee i believe the smell is overpowering.
Any other suggestions to get through all day sits ?

I pretty much will make a sandwich and eat it i personally don't worry about what smells good to deer because if I'm hungry i wont be able to sit in the stand and snacks just don't do it for me and i drink water

I've heard from other hunters that bring peanuts with you because the smell drives deer nuts. SOLD! I love me some peanuts. I've shot deer while drinking coffee, so I don't think it that bad? I wouldn't cook breakfeast in a stand but most things I wouldn't worry about so much.

PB&J's are my #1 choice for lunch on stand! A few granola bars or Power Bars for a mid morning and mid afternoon snack, and a few bottles of water to keep me hydrated throughout the day.

I like cliff bars, but I also always keep some hard candies in my pockets because they're a great thing to suck on while hunting. I like those Swedish Lemon cough drops (that are really just made to be eaten).

If a deer can smell your food they can certainly smell you as well so what difference does it make?

I bring a granola bar, sandwich, mini snicker bars...whatever I feel like eating

Love me some sunflower seeds and they help me kill time. If it's hot out I usually bring something small like sunflower seeds, trail mix, jerky and something to drink(H20 and Monster). If it's cold I'll bring something a little more hearty like oatmeal or soup or if I'm not gonna be out there long just something hot like coffee, hot chocolate, tea, etc. My son and daughter are hot chocolate junkies and truth be told I kinda like it myself so I almost always have that when they are with me.

Almost forgot hard boiled eggs, I eat these all the time and while they help me with my grunt calls they hurt me when it comes to scent control.

HAHAHA, ignore the beer, this guys ignored his safety harness, as well. Arrows and Beers + flip out deer stand + no safety harness = future Special Olympics archery champ.

I like to take an apple and either peanut bars and or granola bars .. costco value packs are real popular in our home this time of year.
