This saturday is the opening day of the youth turkey season here in pa, and im in need of some advice. We have a spot where the turkeys seem to regulary visit the field almost daily. Would you suggest to sit in the woods line over looking the field giving soft calls or to sit back in the woods maybe 50 yards and try and intercept them heading to the fields or just trying to get closer to their roost. Thanks for the help!
I would sit on the edge of the field with decoys in the field so you can see the birds and the birds can see your decoys. Have had a lot of success this way.
