It's a good thing that I wasn't here earlier in the year, or I'd be making some team regret having me as a teammate... lol... But I'm getting in on the comp next year... believe you me!

Well, it was a nice cold morning! On the way into the stand there was about 10 to 15 deer in the winter wheat field and they all took off to see that I was back in town. I got settled in my stand and as soon as light came up enough to see I saw a yearling buck walking behind me but out of shooting range. I was starting to lose hope that any deer would come by before I froze and had to get down. I then noticed another deer walking to me from the CRP. She walked right to me and I let her have it. On my shot I clipped another branch for the third time this year so the arrow hit a little back on her. I waited for about 45 then got down to see what the blood looked like. It was a nice steady spray that was coming out. I followed it like I was walking normally on the sidewalk. I got to the river almost in the same spot to where my 11 point buck crossed. The doe went down the edge of the bank then I saw prints in the snow on the ice. Then they came back to the bank and that is where I found her. She tried to get back up the bank and could not do it. Here she is with my bow! That makes number 6 for me this year! Woot Woot!

Hey PT! I did not hit the liver I clipped the back of one of the lungs and came out her belly. She only ran 100 yards roughly!
